Bank Holidays in India – Banks in India, both the public sector banks and the private banks stay closed on National holidays and state wise holidays. Find below the list of bank holidays in India.
Is the banks closed today?
All banks in India remains closed on national holidays Republic day on January 26, Independence Day (August 15th), Gandhi Jayanti (October 2nd), Diwali, Dussehra, Christmas, Eidh, Guru Nanak Jayanthi, Good Friday, Ganesh Chaturthi, Budh Purnima etc
Apart from that all 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Banks in India remain closed.
Find below the list of all major Bank Holidays in India. But note that, state governments in India, may declare public holidays on regional festival days and the banks will not open on these regional festival days.
