Punjab National Bank, the second-largest public sector bank in India provides several options to check the balance of their customer account. Punjab National Bank has 180 million customers, 10,910 branches, and more than 13,000 ATM’s which are merged with the United Bank Of India and Oriental Bank from 1st April 2020.

As it has a Government authorization, Punjab National bank provides different ways to check balances, make transactions, etc.

 How to register for the PNB Missed Call Balance Enquiry?

To use the PNB Missed call balance enquiry facility, Punjab National Bank account holders will have to register their mobile number with the PNB. You can go to any nearest branch and register your mobile number in the account.

Once the Mobile number is registered, you can check your account balance at any time by dialling the PNB balance check number. This facility is currently available for Savings (SB) and Current accounts only.

If the same mobile number is registered with two Punjab National Bank accounts, then you will get the balance SMS of both accounts.

Note that there is a gap of 45 minutes (Two subsequent queries from the same Mobile Number).

Customers when opening their bank account, they are given an option to activate their Net banking. Account-holders can log in themselves with “user-id” and “password” which is provided by the bank authorities.

You can find your account balance after log-in in from the menu. And for log-in, follow the below steps:

  • Click on the option “new user”.
  • Enter your account number.
  • Select the option “registration type”
  • Verify the details.


After successful registration, you can log in at any time and check your account balance.

 How to register for the Punjab National Bank E-Statements

Punjab National Bank provides E-statements(E-mail Statements), where registration can be easily done. The steps to register are as follows:

  • Register Punjab National Bank net banking through the internet banking facility (Follow the above steps if you have not yet registered for the Internet Banking account).
  • If you have already registered, then log in with your User Name and Password.
  • Choose the option “other services”
  • Go to the “service request” option.
  • Then you will find the option “E-statement registration”.

After the successful E-Statement registration, you will get your statements and balance through Email Statements.

You can even visit the nearest Punjab National branch to register for E-statements.

You can also send SMS to 5607040 in the below format to register for the PNB E-Statements.

 Balance Check through PNB Mobile Applications

PNB Customers can use any UPI Apps like Google Pay, PhonePay, PayTM, BHIM UPI etc on their mobile to check the account balances. These apps allow us to add multiple bank accounts of different banks.

You can check the account balance of your account at any time by using the balance option and entering the UPI Pin.

Punjab National Bank provides a lot of information to its customers with the help of different apps. These apps help the customer to check their balance, mini statements, and transaction histories.

  • Swipe/insert the card into the machine.

This way is one of the oldest and best methods to check the account balance. Punjab National Bank provides its customer’s passbook, where they can check their transaction history and balance once they update it by visiting the branch of Punjab National Bank.

To get the mini statement of PNB by SMS, type MINSTMT 16-digit Account Number and send it to 5607040. Your mobile number must be registered with the PNB to get the PNB last 5 transactions as the mini statement.
