How to Generate PNB ATM Pin | Debit Card Pin Punjab National Bank

Punjab National Bank(PNB) account holders can generate Debit card pin / ATM Pin using the Green Pin option, which eliminates the PIN mailer to the customer’s postal address. After opening an account with Punjab National Bank, you will get a Passbook, ATM card, and Internet Banking kit.

Now you can activate and generate the ATM pin of PNB immediately after opening the account by using the Green Pin concept. Just use any of the below Green Pin Options.

PNB existing customers and new customers can use the PNB Green Pin option.

How to Get the Green Pin when you Apply For a new ATM/Debit Card?

Punjab National Bank Green Pin is a 6 digit OTP (One Time Password) sent to the customer’s registered mobile number at the time of issue of new cards. This green PIN validity is 72 Hours.

So if you have just opened the PNB bank account, then check your Mobile number for an OTP. You can use this OTP to generate the ATM pin within 72 hours.

Existing Customer – Forgot the ATM Pin

If you are an existing PNB customer and forgot the ATM pin then you can generate the Debit / ATM pin, by using the Green Pin option to self-generate the Pin without visiting the branch.

To self-generate, the OTP for the debit card Pin, follow the below steps.

• Domestic Customers in India

send the SMS to 5607040 or +919264092640 in the below format.

DCPIN <16 digit debit card Number>

• Domestic Customers abroad and customers with International Mobile Numbers (both in India as well as abroad)
  

send the SMS to +919264092640 in the below format.

DCPIN <16 digit Debit Card Number>

Now you will get an OTP on your registered Mobile Number. Then follow the below steps to generate the ATM Pin.

After generating the OTPby sending SMS in the above format, Follow the below steps to create the ATM Pin online without login the PNB Internet Banking account.

Step 1: Visit the PNB Internet Banking Portal.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Generate Debit Card Pin‘ option on that page.

Step 3: Enter your Punjab National Bank account number and click on the ‘Continue‘ button.

Step 4: Now you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on the continue button

Step 5: Now you can see a screen to enter your Debit Card Number, Green Pin received on your registered mobile after sending the SMS in the given format, etc.

Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit button.

Step 6: Now enter the new ATM Pin and confirm the same by re-entering it and then click on Submit button.

Your new debit Card Pin / ATM Pin is generated successfully and it is ready for use now.

After generating the Green PIN by sending the SMS in the specified format above, follow the below steps to create the new PIN.

Step 1: Visit any nearby PNB ATM and swipe your debit card.

Step 2: Select Banking and then select the Green Pin option.

Step 3: Now you can see an option to enter the 6 digits OTP received on your Mobile. Enter the OTP and press OK

Step 4: You will get a screen now to set the new PNB Debit card Pin. Enter the 4 digits pin and confirm the same.

You can see a success message after validating both the Pin numbers.

The third option for the debit card pin generation is PNB Online Banking. To use this option, you need an active Internet Banking Account.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Log in to the PNB Internet Banking Account using the credentials.

Step 2: After the successful login click on the ‘Value Added Services’ menu and then click on the ‘Card related Services‘ -> ‘Set / Reset Debit Card Pin’ option.

Step 3: Now select the Account Number and click on ‘Continue’

Step 4: Enter the Debit Card Number, Expiry Date, PNB Green Pin received on your Mobile, etc, and click on the ‘Submit button.

Step 5: Now you will get a screen to enter the 4 digits ATM pin number. confirm it by re-entering the PNB ATM Pin.

Your new Debit Card / ATM Pin number is ready for use now.

Active PNB customers can download the PNB One Mobile application from Google Play Store and use it to create the ATM Pin.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Login into the PNB Mobile app using your user name and password.

Step 2: Click on the Debit Card button

Step 3: From this page click on the Generate Green Pin.

Step 4: In the next screen, you can select the Account number from a dropdown and click the Continue button

Step 5: Now you have to enter your Debit card Expiry date and 6 digit Green Pin received on your Mobile. Then click on on ‘Continue’

Step 6: In the next screen, you can create a 4 digit pin of your choice.

Your new PNB ATM pin is generated successfully!

Follow the below steps if PNB Green Pin OTP not received

If you are not getting the OTP while requesting the Green PIN, make sure that you have updated the Mobile number on your Punjab National Bank Account.

When you request the Green Pin, PNB will send the 6 digits Pin number to the PNB account registered Mobile number automatically, which will be valid for the next 72 hours.
