Because of the Pandemic, Bank of India has announced that the bank branches would temporarily shut down some non-essential services to avoid crowds at banks. So below services not available in the branch now.

  • Updating Passbook
  • Opening a new account
  • Exchange of currencies
  •  Payment of credit cards bills
  • FD renewal
  • New applications for cheque-book/cards

As declared by the Indian Banks Association (IBA), the banks would continue offering some essential services such as

  • Cash withdrawals/deposits
  • Cheque clearance of cheque
  •  Remittances
  • Government transactions.

Bank of India is promoting Online Banking and mobile banking to make transactions easy and also decreasing the number of people crowding.

Bank Of India has its lunch timings for its employees from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM. You will only get some essential services at this time with limited staffs. So it is good to avoid going to the Bank Of India branch during the lunchtime, to save time.

Bank of India now provides 24*7 NEFT services in all days, including public holidays.

RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) transactions are done by the Bank of India on Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM except on 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
