How to generate Union Bank ATM Pin Online, SMS and IVR Toll Free Number

Union Bank of India provides several options for its customers to generate the ATM / Debit Card Pin, if you want to generate the ATM Pin for the first time or if you want to change your existing debit card Pin.

For new customers, Union Bank of India sends ATM /Debit cards to the customer address through post. The Green Pin option helps the customers to generate the Debit Card Pin through any Union Bank ATM or through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR), without visiting the home branch.

Union Bank’s ATM Pin generation options include Green Pin through ATM, IVR, Online, Sending SMS, Calling the Customer Care Number, Mobile App, etc.

 Union Bank of India ATM Pin generation through ATM

You can use any Union Bank ATM to generate the Debit Card Pin, without visiting the home branch.

Earlier, the bank will send the Pin mailer separately once the account is activated and now which is replaced with the paperless Green Pin option.

To generate the Debit Card Pin through the Union Bank ATM, follow the below steps:

  • Visit any Union Bank ATM
  • Swipe/insert the ATM card or your Debit card
  • Find the option ‘Set ATM Pin’ at the bottom of the screen
  • Then choose the “OTP generate” option.

  • Now the OTP (One Time Password) would arrive on your registered mobile number.

You can use this OTP to generate the ATM/ Debit card Pin.

Follow the below steps:

  • Re-insert / Swipe the Debit card pin on the ATM
  • Again select the Set ATM Pin option
  • Now select the second option ‘OTP Validate’
  • Enter the OTP received on your Mobile

 ATM Pin generation through IVR

Union Bank provides an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, which can be used to generate the Debit Card Pin, instead of going to the nearby Union Bank ATM to create the Debit Card Pin.

It is very easy and convenient, as the customer can use their bank-registered Mobile Phone to generate the ATM Pin.

To use the IVR facility for the Pin generation, you need the following details

  1. Your 15 digit Union Bank account number
  2. 16 digit Debit Card Number and Expiry Date (MMYY) – Month and Year
  3. Your Date of Birth (DOB) given in the bank account

Union Bank IVR supports seven Indian languages (Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu) besides Hindi and English.

Follow the below steps for the ATM pin generation through IVR:

Step 1: Call the Toll Free IVR Number 1800 22 22 44 / 1800 208 2244

Step 2: Select the language and then select option 3 for the self pin generation

Step 3: Now select Option 2 – for the duplicate pin generation

Step 4: Enter your 15 digits Account Number. Press 1 to confirm it and Press 2 to re-enter it

Step 5: Now to generate the Passcode, Enter your DOB (Date Of Birth) – DDMMYYYY

Step 6: Enter your 16 digit Debit Card Number

Step 7: Enter the Debit Card Expiry Date (MMYY)

Step 8: If the given details match with your bank account’s credentials, you will get an 8 digit passcode in your registered Mobile Number as an SMS. (It is valid only for 2 Hours)

Step 9: Now press 1 and Enter your 8 digit passcode received on your Mobile Phone

Step 10: Enter 3 digits CVV number of your Debit Card

Step 11: Now you will get an option to create a new 4 digit ATM Pin of your choice.

Step 12: Re-enter the 4 digit ATM Pin for the confirmation

Your new ATM Pin has been created successfully!

How to generate Union Bank ATM Pin first time?

You can use Union Bank Green Pin option to generate the ATM Pin for the first time without visiting the branch. Union Bank provides an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, which can be used to generate the Debit Card Pin. Call Union Bank Toll-Free IVR Number for the ATM Pin Generation: 1800 22 22 44 / 1800 208 2244 and follow the instructions. The second option for the Green Pin generation is to visit any Union Bank of India ATM, insert the card that the bank has just given you. Select the language of your preference. From one of the options displayed on the screen, choose the “Generate Green PIN” option. As you have clicked on that, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Re-insert the ATM card and “validate the OTP” by entering the OTP. enter your new ATM PIN twice and you will be able to use your ATM card.
